On May 5, 2026, we had a great and inspiring day at our 4th Wood3.0 network meeting at Fraunhofer IAP in Potsdam.
Bringing together partners from research and industry, the meeting once again showed how valuable direct exchange is for advancing innovation in cellulose-based materials.
After a warm welcome and a short update on the network status, we had the pleasure of hearing several insightful contributions:
🔹 brandSCHUTZENGEL GmbH (Dr. Thomas Engel) on challenges and approaches in fire safety as well as fire protection solutions for electrical installations and façade elements
🔹 Sachsenröder GmbH & Co. KG (Ahmed Rabhi) presenting sustainable vulcanized fiber solutions for industrial applications
🔹 And a warm welcome to our new network partner Boymann Garten- und Landschaftsbau GmbH & Co. KG
A real highlight was the tour through Fraunhofer IAP, offering exciting insights into current research and strengthening the link between science and application.
The afternoon was dedicated to our working groups, where we discussed next steps and further developed our joint ideas, always with the goal of bringing sustainable innovations into practice.
A big thank you to all partners for the open discussions, valuable inputs, and the great atmosphere throughout the day. Looking forward to continuing this journey together!
A heartfelt thank you to all speakers, partners, and participants for a successful and future-oriented exchange! Also a big thank you to the hospitality of Fraunhofer-Institut für Angewandte Polymerforschung IAP and Dr. Bert Volkert.
